Christian Red is an award-winning sports writer who spent 16 years at the New York Daily News. He was part of The News' sports investigative (I-Team), covering a diverse range of issues including doping, corruption within FIFA, concussion/TBI and football and the opioid crisis. In 2013, he won first place for APSE features writing. He is the co-author of two sports books: "American Icon" (Knopf, 2009) and "Baseball Cop" (Hachette Books, 2018). He has also written for the New York Times, Washington Post, ESPN and New York Post. He lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.
