Crystal Palace are reportedly on the verge of beginning the redevelopment of Selhurst Park.
The Eagles have played at their south London home since 1924, which holds a capacity of 25,486 and plan to raise it further.
The Athletic report that they are 'significantly closer' to starting work on building a new 13,500 capacity main stand.
Most of the 'formal barriers' are said to have been cleared, with one of those being finding new homes for residents in Wooderson Close that currently sits in the stand's proposed plans.
The overall cost is said to have 'ballooned' to £150million, but chairman Steve Parish says it'll provide £20-30million of income each season.
Palace are keen to commence next summer and are looking for a contractor, with work said to take between 27 and 30 months.
The club will need to hold talks with either the Premier League or EFL [if they're relegated] to allow them to play their final 2026/27 season games and opening 2027/28 matches away from home.
Such requests have been granted for Liverpool and West Ham in previous years for their respective stadiums.
Ideas of a building a whole new stadium at Crystal Palace Park were raised in 2011, but Selhurst Park is set to remain as their home.
A club spokesperson told The Athletic: "The Selhurst Park redevelopment project is progressing well — we have in place all the peripheral deals that are required for us to start construction and the club is now in a tender process with prospective construction partners.

"The start date will be subject to further discussions with the various consultants working on the project and our chosen construction partner.”
