Rapper KRS-One had a lot to say in a video that was posted by KayvonTV.com earlier this week on YouTube. In the video [click to watch] the Bronx rapper touches on Eminem, VIBEmagazine, and even autotune.
Back in 2008 readers of Vibe Magazine crowned Eminem “Best Rapper Alive” [click to read] in a tournament style competition very similar to the tournament taking place on VIBE.com now. But according to KRS-One, VIBEmagazine doesn’t have the clout to choose who the greatest is as far as Hip Hop is concerned.
“If VIBE magazinefeels that Eminem is the best thing since sliced bread, sliced white bread, if they say he’s the greatest thing that’s their opinion. Now the real question is does Eminem think that,” KRS-One explained to Kayvon of Kayvon TV. “Now Eminem if you ask him he’ll be like ‘Man, that’s some bullshit they just put together.’ VIBE magazine isn’t the authority to say who’s anything in Hip Hop. They barely making it in Hip Hop.”

In the video interview which was recorded after an event at the City Hall in Toronto on June 9 KRS-One gives some advice to fellow rapper Eminem.
“But Eminem is dope man that new record ‘I must’ve killed them, killed them’ the writing of that is brilliant…I’m never gonna say anything derogatory about Eminem ‘cause I respect him,” said KRS-One. “I just hope that the pressure he’s feeling is not gonna overcome him. Eminem if you listening to me right now dog don’t live up to none of that hype just do you. Focus on your rhyme-writing. Focus on your lyric delivery. That’s it. Nothing else matters.”
Lastly, KRS-One[click to read] briefly spoke on the autotune trend in Hip Hop.
